Lutie Mom

The name "Lutie Mom", the name of my blog, came quite easily for me, mother of 5 children and an educator in a small school. As a mother, my children mean the world to me. As an educator, my students became a very important part of my life too. The role of "mom" has simply expanded, just like elastic.
The old saying "It takes a village to raise a child" takes new meaning when working with educators. The villiage is composed of many faces, facets, and componenets. Each piece is vital to the success of the child. The home is where it all begins,...the loving atmosphere in which we raise our children. As community members send their children to school, it is important that we continue to nurture and raise them up in a safe environment; tuned into the many experiences and opportunities that our "villiage" has to offer.
