The Christmas Program
Last night was the Christmas program at church. Our son was one of the "host of angels". It was a pretty big deal; getting him to do this was no small feat. First of all, he felt this was a job for girls. It wasn't so bad after he learned that most angels appearing in the Bible were gallant men. Secondly, it was difficult knowing that last year his sister was an angel in the pagent. It's only been 8 months since she has gone to be with our Lord. This year she's really an angel and celebrating our Saviour's birth with the Savior Himself.

Christmas
As amazing as it may seem, some of those who give at Christmas time feel it is important to bless only those deemed deserving. This time of year there are lots of organizations that call wanting to know the names of families or children who are in need of holiday cheer. Yet, when I network the names to the organization, I hear things like ..." this family has a house full or roaches, or their dad is a drunk." Does this mean the children are of less importance or in less need? What if the Three Wise Men felt the same way? They brought gifts to a baby born in a stable or barn and out of wedlock. This Christmas Season, may we look at children differently; with love and understanding.
